Peer-to-peer counselling is the practice of sharing one’s experiences in successfully solving social problems and coping with substance use issues.
The knowledge and experiences are shared by a person who themselves has had issues with substance use and who has a personal experience of recovery from addiction. A peer counsellor can help people with similar problems to better recover and cope; they will listen and not judge. Peer counsellors provide emotional, social and practical support and share information regarding:
We welcome people who use drugs or their loved ones. Peer counselling sessions are carried out both individually as well as in a group setting.
